Nicole Swanson, DMD
Dr. Nicole Swanson grew up in sunny Venice, FL, with the goal of becoming a dentist from the young age of seven. Setting herself up for success early, she took advanced placement classes at Venice High School, while also holding varsity positions with the girls track and field and weightlifting teams. Dr. Swanson graduated from the University of Florida with Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees. While in dental school at the University of Florida, Dr. Swanson was Vice President of the Academy of General Dentists-UF chapter and also served as a teaching assistant and tutor in restorative and prosthodontics courses.
After dental school, Dr. Swanson earned the prestigious honor of ‘Triple Gator’ by attaining a third UF accolade after completing the rigorous residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Swanson further honed her restorative and surgical skills with additional training at both the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study and at the Implant Educators comprehensive dental implant continuum.
Dr. Swanson received her Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Swanson loves dentistry, as it allows her to help others daily and build personal relationships with her patients and colleagues. Her goal is to help every patient feel comfortable and embody a family-like atmosphere throughout the dental experience. She is devoted to the field of dentistry and has taken hundreds of continuing education hours to ensure her practices stay up to date with the ever changing field of evidence based dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Swanson enjoys attending UF football games; learning with her colleagues at dental continuing education courses; exercising with her rescue puppy, Nala; spending time with friends and family around Sarasota; and traveling the world with her husband, Matias, to experience new cuisines and cultures.
